So you're probably thinking we're crazy.
After all, who in their right minds would throw an event deep in the throes of winter? We would, evidently.
The truth is that Maine is a beautiful place all year round, including the winter months. And if you're not local, chances are you've only visited Maine during the summer. To those of you and to everyone else — locals and those from away — we invite you to FrostbiteME 2008 to experience our city, our culture and our community during one of the most beautiful seasons in Maine.
FrostbiteME 2008 is a first-of-its-kind event.
FrostbiteME 2008 is the first-ever event of GayMaine.org, a grassroots effort to develop a vibrant and connected GLBT and friends community in Southern Maine.
FrostbiteME is a three-day celebration of Portland and surrounding cities and kicks off during the First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Portland on Friday, March 7, 2008. The weekend includes fun events such as skiing, ice skating, comedy shows, theater, film screenings, dance, art exhibits, and live music.
This site launched on December 14, 2007. Please refer back from time to time for updated listings, registration information, and other news about FrostbiteME 2008. Soon you'll be able to buy packages online for the entire weekend!
We truly hope you can be part of our celebration. |
